Federal Student Loan Applications, Federal Student Loan Financial Aid Forms and Federal Master Promissory Note (MPN)
Forms
Federal student loans can play an integral part of your student
financial aid package. For your convenience, following are key student
loan application forms available for downloading and printing:
To apply for Federal student financial aid, including the campus-based Perkins Loan, and to apply for many
state student aid programs, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The
information you provide on your FAFSA determines if you are eligible for financial aid.
Stafford Loan
A Stafford loan is a government-guaranteed student loan offering low interest
rates and deferred payment options to students enrolled in an eligible program at
least half-time. There are two types of Stafford loans ? subsidized and unsubsidized.
PLUS Loans (Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students)
Loans made to parents of dependent undergraduate students based on credit worthiness, not financial
need. Parents may borrow up to the total cost of education, minus any financial aid received by the student.
An endorser (or cosigner) for a PLUS loan is an individual who signs the Endorser Addendum and agrees to be
secondarily liable for the PLUS loan debt. The Endorser Addendum provides the endorser with important information
similar to the PLUS MPN.
